This contract requires providing support for two in-person tribal advisory committee meetings a year, one tribal consultation session, monthly conference calls, communication with tribal leaders, and overall project support. MEES maintains regular communications with tribal leaders and tribal staff who are members of the NIH Tribal Advisory Committee. Coordination of logistics for the meetings and agenda development is also a responsibility of MEES. Besides, MEES supports NIH by coordinating an annual tribal consultation session and works in partnership with national Native organizations to host the event at other large national Native events.

MEES worked closely with the Office of Intergovernmental and External Affairs/Tribal Affairs and the Regional Offices to support the consultations. MEES provided support for the 2018 Regional Tribal Consultation Sessions through this task order (and has provided support for consultations from 2010 to 2017 via other contracts). MEES provided a writer/transcriber at each consultation session who developed meeting report deliverables such as transcripts, detailed summaries, and executive summaries. MEES utilizes it knowledge of tribal governments and HHS programs to ensure the summaries produced are relevant, accurate and informative. For 2018, MEES also coordinated the logistics for regional grant training sessions at 5 locations across the country under this task order.

MEES negotiates booth space and add-ons, coordinates shipping and set-up/tear down of materials, and administrative support.
